Hello Lions! It’s time to think about our

2024-2025 Peace Poster Contest.

At our reorganization meeting on August 24th, I will have have information to share regarding our 2025 Peace Poster Contest. Kits are on sale now for those who would like to get a jump on the contest.

The theme of the 2024-2025 Peace Poster Contest is “Peace Without Limits.” For peace to be anything more than a possibility, we need to make it a priority. This year, we’re asking our young students to create a poster that speaks to our world’s infinite potential for kindness once we commit to pursuing the idea of peace without limits. Children ages 11, 12 or 13 by November 15 are eligible to participate. Entries not meeting the following deadlines will be disqualified:

October 1: Deadline to purchase kits LCI. Each kit contains all the materials needed to sponsor the contest in a school or youth group, including complete rules, promotional material and recognition certificates for participants. One kit is needed for each entry sponsored.

November 14:  Deadline for a club to deliver one winning poster (per contest sponsored) to the District 16-N Peace Poster Contest Chairperson at the District Meeting.

December 1:  Postmark deadline for District Governors to send one winning district poster to Multiple District Council Chairperson,

Judging Criteria at Each Level:  originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme.

Give your young artists more time to work on their entries.

Make sure each child receives a copy of the rules that come with the kit.

DISTRICT 16N PEACE POSTER NIGHT IS NOVEMBER 14.

November 15th is the deadline to send entries to the MD16 Peace Poster Contest Chairperson.
Clubs should take note of the submission deadlines to be sure their entries are considered.

The International Grand Prize Winner receives a trip to an award ceremony where he/she will receive US $5,000. The 23 Merit award winners each receive US $500.

Please let me know as soon as you can the number of schools and the students who will be participating in the Peace Poster Contest for 2024-2025.  I hope there are many schools and many students who will be participating in this wonderful contest.

Lions International also offer an Essay Contest for visually impaired young people.  The ages of the students and the theme of the essay are the same as the poster contest.  Contact me if any students have an interest in the essay contest.

Thank you for all your efforts with this important Lions event. This is a great way to reach out to our communities and inform them of who Lions are and what we are about.
