Fellow Lions, 

The dictionary describes a Mentor as “a wise and loyal advisor, a teacher or coach”. When I was District Governor, I learned very quickly that Hellen Keller was correct when she said, "alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."  During my term as Governor (2005–2006) I received guidance from Lions that came and served before me and I thought it was necessary to establish a District 16N Mentor Award so distinguished Lions can continue to be honored for the assistance and counsel they provide to their presiding Governor.
